ABOUT US

Addison County Parents is published by Mimi Clark, who parents son Benjamin with husband, Tim, and has been a resident of Waltham since 1999. Addison County Parents is the result of years of reading national, regional, and online parenting publications and the suggestion that parents right here would benefit from having their own locally-flavored directory of resources and information that is both enjoyable and essential to parents in the 21st Century.

Addison County, Vermont, is made up of 23 communities nestled in the hills and valleys that stretch from the shores of Lake Champlain to the Green Mountain National Forest. The downtown districts of Bristol, Middlebury, and Vergennes are listed on the National Register of Historic Places, as are several farms and homes. Addison County is home to three school districts, a nationally recognized university, generations of dairy farming, maple sugaring, and lumber, restaurants, bed and breakfast inns, hotels, dozens of small businesses and large corporations, a summer resort, state and national parks and wildlife refuges, and a state-of-the-art community hospital.
